Senior Chipolopolo are back in Afcon after missing out on the last three editions
Zambia’s national football team, also known as the Chipolopolo Boys, has made a triumphant return to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in 2023. The team had not qualified for the continental championship since 2015, awesomely this time they have secured their spot by defeating Ivory Coast 3-0 in a dramatic match which took place at Levy Mwanawasa stadium in ndola this afternoon. Fans across the country are celebrating the team’s success and eagerly anticipating their upcoming matches and more wins against other top African teams.
The Chipolopolo Boys have a strong history in the tournament, having won the championship once in 2012, and will be looking to make their mark once again.
